  • Dolmabahçe Palace

This palace shines like a jewel on the Bosphorus. Dolmabahçe Palace was built by Sultan Abdülmecid in the 19th century, when the influence of Westernization and modernization was intense. Ottoman sultans resided in this palace for a short time. With the proclamation of the Republic, Dolmabahçe Palace started to be used as the Presidential residence. Dolmabahçe was used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk between 1927 and 1938. In this respect, the palace has a special importance. The palace was converted into a museum in 1984. Dolmabahçe Palace has 285 rooms, 46 halls and 6 baths. The room where Atatürk lost his life is undoubtedly the most special part of the palace. You can visit Dolmabahçe Palace free of charge with a Müzekart, except for the Selamlık room.

Most Beautiful Palaces in Turkey

  • Ishak Pasha Palace

Ishak Pasha Palace is another of the most impressive palaces in Turkey. The palace is located in Doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı. Its construction started in 1685 and the palace was completed in 99 years. The palace is the most important building built in Ağrı in the Ottoman Period. Ishak Pasha Palace amazes visitors with its magnificent architecture. It is also known as the palace where the first heating system was used in the world. There are 116 rooms in Ishak Pasha Palace. The palace carries traces of Ottoman, Persian and Seljuk architectures. Palace entrance fee is 10 TL, free with Müzekart.

  • Beylerbeyi Palace

Beylerbeyi Palace is another of the most elegant palaces inherited from the 19th century. It was built by Sultan Abdülaziz by architect Sarkis Balyan. Beylerbeyi Palace was mostly used as a state guest house and summer residence. The palace is located between Kuzguncuk and Çengelköy. There are 23 rooms and 6 halls in Beylerbeyi Palace. Due to Sultan Abdulaziz’s passion for the sea, it is possible to see ship motifs frequently in the palace decoration. After visiting the inside of the palace, do not neglect to take a short walk in the gardens that admire with its landscape. The entrance fee to Beylerbeyi Palace is 50 TL, and you can visit the palace free of charge with a Müzekart.
